Renewable Natural Gas

Vireo Energy develops and finances biogas and biofuel projects utilizing waste streams from various industries.  Our projects create fuels that qualify for the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and Renewable Identification Number (RIN) credits provided by the Federal government.  We also participate in the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits systems provided by various States and Provinces.  We work with Industrial partners such as Dairies, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Municipal Solid Waste Facilities, Landfills and other industries.  These industries create waste streams that can be converted into biogas or other biofuels.  Vireo Energy will finance, build, own, operate and manage the biogas/biofuel facility in partnership with the facility owner.

Areas of focus for include Anaerobic Digesters, Membrane Gas Upgrading, Gas Grid Interconnection, Biogas Offtake Contracts, New Biogas Technologies.

Biofuel opportunities include conversion of high FFA feedstocks into biodiesel.
